Sharp Rolls Out World's Smallest CMOS Module

Japan's Sharp has developed the world's smallest 2MP CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) module with a volume of 0.9cc, supporting video recording at a speed of 15 frames in one second. This module, intended for camera handsets, will start production in January, with a monthly capacity of 200,000 units. Another model with auto-focus function will start shipment in March 2006.
